MEXICO’S GLOBAL CONNECTIVITY EXPANDS AS AIR CANADA BOOSTS SUMMER SERVICE

Mexico’s tourism momentum continues to build, fueled in part by expanding international air connectivity. Air Canada has announced an 18 percent increase in seat capacity to Mexico for Summer 2026, reinforcing the country’s position as one of the most in-demand destinations for Canadian travelers and beyond.
A key highlight is the launch of new year-round nonstop service between Montréal and Guadalajara, further strengthening access to Mexico’s cultural heartland. At the same time, the airline is increasing frequencies to major gateways including Cancún, Monterrey, Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta. These expanded routes reflect sustained demand for both leisure and business travel between the two countries.
With up to 30 nonstop flights during peak seasons from eight Canadian cities to 11 destinations in Mexico, connectivity continues to deepen. Beyond direct travel, Mexico also benefits from streamlined access to Europe and Asia through Air Canada’s hubs in Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver, further integrating the country into global travel flows.
This steady expansion in air service signals more than convenience; it highlights confidence in Mexico’s tourism sector and its long-term growth trajectory. As global connectivity improves year after year, it opens new markets, supports regional development and strengthens Mexico’s standing as a dynamic, accessible and internationally connected destination.
