A FRESH NEW LOOK FOR ONE OF CANCUN’S MOST ICONIC RESORTS
June 3, 2026

Cancun’s hospitality landscape continues to evolve with the debut of the newly renovated Hyatt Zilara Cancun, one of the destination’s most recognized adults-only, all-inclusive resorts. Following an extensive property-wide transformation, the 310-suite resort has reopened with redesigned accommodations, refreshed public spaces, new culinary concepts, and enhanced wellness offerings inspired by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Located in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon, the renovation introduces a more contemporary and locally inspired design throughout the property. Guests can now enjoy reimagined suites, upgraded beach and pool areas, an enhanced Zen Spa experience, and several new dining venues, including an intimate speakeasy concept and a chef-led Yucatecan culinary experience that celebrates the flavors of southeastern Mexico.

The reopening is part of a broader wave of investment taking place across Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean, where hotel brands continue to enhance existing properties while introducing new luxury experiences. At Destination Mexico, we are always excited to see continued investment in the destinations we represent, helping ensure our clients have access to exceptional venues, innovative experiences, and the outstanding hospitality that keeps Mexico at the forefront of global travel.
