PORTER AIRLINES CONNECTS CANADA TO CANCÚN AND PUERTO VALLARTA THIS WINTER
July 4, 2025
Mexico’s tourism sector is set to receive a fresh boost this winter as Canadian airline Porter Airlines launches its first-ever routes to the country, adding new direct flights to Cancún and Puerto Vallarta from Toronto, Ottawa, and Hamilton.

Daily flights from Toronto to Cancún will begin on November 5, with service from Ottawa and Hamilton following in mid-December. Puerto Vallarta routes launch November 13 from Toronto, and mid-December from Ottawa and Hamilton, with multiple weekly frequencies planned.

These new routes expand international access to two of Mexico’s most in-demand coastal destinations at a time of growing winter travel demand. The added connectivity not only benefits Canadian travelers seeking sun and sand, but also reinforces Mexico’s position as a top-tier destination with strong global links.

By increasing flight options and opening new gateways to the Mexican Caribbean and Pacific coast, Porter’s arrival signals renewed confidence in Mexico’s tourism infrastructure and its continued appeal to international markets.
