THE MEXICAN CARIBBEAN CONTINUES TO ATTRACT INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS
February 6, 2025
Marriott International is strengthening its presence in the Caribbean and Latin America with an ambitious expansion plan for 2025, including key openings in Mexico. After reaching its 500th property in the region, the company is introducing both iconic brands and new concepts tailored to modern travelers’ needs.

In Mexico, Marriott is focusing on beach destinations. In Riviera Maya, the Paraiso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection Resort will open as an adults-only, all-inclusive property blending luxury with natural beauty. Meanwhile, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy Bloom Tulum will offer an innovative premium accommodation concept with personalized 24-hour service.

Marriott’s expansion extends beyond Mexico, with plans for new properties in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, and more, but its Mexican presence is particularly significant. The move highlights Marriott’s confidence in Mexico's booming tourism market and the region's increasing appeal to high-end travelers and international investors.
