DEMAND FOR LOS CABOS REMAINS STRONG ACROSS PEAK SEASONS
April 8, 2026
Los Cabos continues to show strong tourism performance, with hotel occupancy levels reaching impressive highs during key travel periods. Recent reports indicate that occupancy can climb close to 80% during peak weekends, with even higher concentrations in popular areas driven by both domestic travelers and international visitors, including the Spring Break market.

This sustained demand reflects the destination’s consistent appeal throughout the year. Early 2026 projections already pointed to occupancy levels nearing 79–80% during peak months like February and March, confirming Los Cabos’ position as one of Mexico’s strongest-performing destinations in the high season. Seasonal peaks can be even more pronounced, with certain periods historically reaching above 90%, thanks to the destination’s ability to attract large volumes of travelers.

Beyond the numbers, this performance shows Los Cabos’ ability to maintain steady demand across different market segments. From luxury travelers to group and leisure segments, the destination benefits from a well-balanced mix that supports hotels, restaurants, and local businesses alike, generating consistent economic activity.

Altogether, these strong occupancy levels are a clear indicator of the health of Mexico’s tourism sector. Destinations like Los Cabos continue to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and global appeal, and they reinforce the country’s position as a leading destination where demand remains strong and growth continues across key markets.
